Rodney is a Tampa native and it shows in his detailed knowledge of the local species, their habitat, and habits. His expertise at putting clients on fish is well known. He uses light tackle spinning rods and conventional reels to pursue inshore species such as snook, reds, tarpon, trout, cobia and all varieties of mackerel. Rodney uses an Oyster White 24' Pathfinder with a 300 hp Yamaha HPDI motor that is set up for live bait. His boat has a 7'2" tower with a custom installed second station. Why does Rodney fish out of a Pathfinder? "Pathfinder is the most maneuverable boat and lightest boat in its class. Lightness equates to shallow and shallow means fish."
